How to Play Blackjack?
Blackjack, also known as Twenty-One, is a highly intriguing game of cards with simple rules. If you are good at mathematics and are able to count the cards with utmost perfection, the chances are high that you will end up winning the game.
Nevertheless, if you are not good at mathematics, this doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to land big wins. Factually, the casino odds are less, and therefore the chances of anyone winning the game are quite high. This also makes Blackjack one of the popular games.
While the game become popular during World War I, it came into being way back in the 1760s in France. Since then the gas has only become more and more popular such that today it can be found in almost every American casino.
In the casino version of the game, there is a dealer who keeps on standing, while the players are allowed to sit. The dealer takes care of all the aspects of the game right from shuffling and dealing the cards to handling the bets.
The main aim while playing this game is to beat the dealer by getting the count as close to 21 as possible.
How to Play Blackjack?
Playing Blackjack is pretty simple. The game starts with the leftmost player who needs to decide between stand and hit. If the player chooses to go for stand, he will not ask for another card. On the other hand, hits allows to get another count to help you achieve the count of 21. This way, the player can choose to stand with the two cards which are already dealt with or ask for more cards, one at a time.
During this process, if the total count goes beyond 21, the situation is called ‘bust’ and the player loses. The dealer then moves to the next player and proceeds with the same process.
The Basic Strategy
The whole idea is to reach a count of 21. If the dealer has good cards, like a card of 7, 8, 9 or 10, the player should continue drawing until a count of 17 or more is reached. However, if the dealer has poor cards like a 4, 5, or 6, the player should stop drawing once a total of 12 is reached.
The underlying strategy here is to avoid taking a card if there are any chances of going bust.
