Reactoonz Review
Overview
Reactoonz is Play’n GO’s cult-classic alien cluster slot — a 7×7 grid where adorable cartoon creatures cascade, react, and trigger a series of sequential bonus mechanics that build on each other in real time. 96.51% RTP, very high volatility, and a 4,570× max win make it one of the most distinctive games in this list. No traditional free spins — instead, Reactoonz builds tension through charging meters that unlock features mid-spin. It’s mechanically unique, visually charming, and endlessly replayable. The aliens have been charming players since 2017, and for good reason.

How It Plays
A 7×7 grid packed with cartoon alien creatures. Clusters of 5+ matching symbols win — connected horizontally or vertically. Winning symbols are removed and new ones fall (cascade mechanic). Pairs of identical symbols anywhere on the grid are called ‘quantum leaps’ and have special interactions. There are no scatter symbols or free spins triggers — instead, the Gargantoon Meter and Fluctometer track activity and unlock a sequence of four escalating features.
The game has a distinctive energy — colourful, weird, and full of personality. The aliens have different eye counts that determine their value. Landing a full cluster of single-eyed (highest) aliens is the stuff of player legend. First time the Gargantoon dropped onto my grid, I literally leaned forward in my chair.
Bonus Features & Special Symbols
The Fluctometer (Feature Charge Meter)
A meter on the left tracks cascade activity. As cascades fire, the meter charges through four stages, each unlocking a different feature: (1) Implosion — removes low-value symbols and replaces them with wilds; (2) Incision — a wild is placed at a random position; (3) Alteration — the lowest-value symbol on the grid is converted to another symbol type; (4) Demolition — all lowest-value symbols are removed. When the meter reaches stage four and exhausts, it resets and starts charging again. The Fluctometer creates continuous mid-spin suspense.
Gargantoon Wild
The Gargantoon is a massive 3×3 wild that splits progressively — it starts as a 3×3 wild, then splits into three 2×2 wilds, then into eight 1×1 wilds, all while cascades continue. Each split adds new wild coverage to the grid and contributes to ongoing cluster wins. A full Gargantoon sequence with active cascades is one of the most visually spectacular moments in any slot.
Quantum Wilds
Pairs of identical symbols anywhere on the grid generate a quantum wild at a random position. These substitute for all symbols and contribute to clusters.
RTP, Volatility & Math Notes
96.51% RTP is excellent for very-high volatility. 23.7% hit frequency is lower than average — Reactoonz can have very dry base-game stretches. The lack of a bonus buy means players must ride out quiet periods. Very high volatility is justified: the 4,570× max win requires a Gargantoon sequence combined with fully-charged Fluctometer features cascading simultaneously. Best for experienced cluster-pays players who want mechanical depth and visual personality over raw max-win numbers.
Paytable & Top Symbols
- 1-eyed alien (highest): 2× stake for large cluster
- 2-eyed alien, 4-eyed alien, cyclops alien: stepping down
- Lower alien variants: 0.1–0.5× stake for standard clusters
Betting, Bankroll & Demo Tips
$0.20–$5 bet range. No bonus buy. Very high volatility means a session budget of 150–200× stake is recommended. In demo mode, specifically watch how the Fluctometer charges and what each feature stage does — the sequential features are the heart of the game. Spend time understanding the Gargantoon split sequence before playing for real money.
