Mobile Casino Proves Increasingly Popular for Developer
The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) has stated that the use of mobile casinos is on the rise and developer Evolution Gaming has seen a significant rise in revenue within live mobile casinos.
Double the Profit
Evolution Gaming, based in Latvia, has reported they have seen profits almost double in the second quarter of 2017, with over half of its players using a mobile device.
Mobile-based casino games have spiked in recent years a trend that is confirmed by Evolution Gamings newest figures.
Google Store Welcome Mobile Casino Apps
Google already announced that it would accept gambling apps in its play store, which is expected to have a major boost to the mobile casino’s industry.
A report from the UKGC stated that the use of mobile devices for using online casinos has risen dramatically, with 43% of wagers using android devices.
Ever Growing Industry
Chief Executive Officer of Evolution Gaming, Martin Carlesund believes the mammoth growth of Evolution is down to the ever-expanding user base and said that the company is “continuously improving and an increasingly efficient organisation.”
It was revealed that Evolutions revenue has risen immensely from year to year, when they reached €42.3 million in the second quarter of 2017, having been at 27 million in the second quarter of 2016. Earnings in 2017 rose by 81% up to 19.2million and the profits spiking from 7.6 million up to 14.6 million.
Dealer Live Casino Games
Evolution Gaming is a well-established land-based casino but by Carlesunds’ own admission, the noticeable growth can be found on their mobile-based games. Evolution delivers live casino games, which include the traditional table games, that can be played via mobile and allow for a real-life experience for the user.
There is no suggestion that there will be a decline in the use of mobile casinos and chances are, it will continue to grow. Carlesund has guaranteed continuous expansion for Evolution following these trends and said the remainder of the second quarter for 2017 will be, “an intense period in terms of expansion of new environments.”
More Updates
Since June of this year, Evolution Gaming has announced that it will introduce another one of its live dealer production studios that will be based in Georgia. At the moment, there are already two of these studios based in Latvia and Malta, which is more good news for the ever-expanding fans of mobile casino. On top of all this, Evolution has had a successful few years, being EGR Live Casino Supplier of the Year for the eighth year in a row as well as having launched a 7th European studio Grand Casino in Bucharest which is the first fully certified Live Casino in Romania.
